Formed in 1891, IBEW has earned its reputation as the oldest, largest and most professional electrical Union in the world. Members are on the job at construction sites, power plants, factories, offices, shipyards, TV studios and rail yards.
Local 1620 specifically, has members on the job with Newfoundland Power, Collier’s International and across the province working Outside Construction. Some of our construction partners include Locke’s Electrical, Bursey Cleaners (2010) Limited, Springdale Forest Resources Inc., Pennecon Industrial Limited and Safway Services Canada.
