On this Memorial Day when we honour those who have fought, those who gave their lives for our country and for our freedom, it’s hard to find the words to express just what they have given each and every one of us. They deserve our respect, for giving everything of themselves.
Remembrance Day isn’t just about war and those we’ve lost, but about ideals and what we stand for. Our fallen are the reason that we have rights to have elections, democracy, and decision making. To be respected, have good wages, working conditions and much more. It’s about respecting our past and looking forward, and thanking those who have served.
