Political Action Committee

PAC Lobby Day, March 2020

PAC’s Andrew Walsh & Tim Clements with Intl. Reps Matt Wayland & Cheryl Paron

IBEW 1620 members are a very important part of our communities. As citizens with a stake in public services, they deserve a say in the decisions that affect them, their families and friends.

1620 and its Political Action Committee can achieve positive change for our members and all Canadians.

As a local, with our members’ interests always first and foremost, we defend their interests at the bargaining table and in society, in general, to ensure our voices are heard.

We talk and work with political leaders, community partners and coalitions to help make our communities better places to live.

IBEW lobbying efforts are necessary to ensure that our members benefit from a profitable private sector in a more balanced way. The best way to have a positive change is through political action.

We hope that you will see how important it is for IBEW members to get involved in the political process and even join or volunteer with your Local Union Political Action Committee (PAC).
